Botox Myths Debunked!

There are many misconceptions out there about Botox. Ooh La La is here to set the record straight!

Myth #1. Botox will give me a “frozen” or expressionless look.

FACT: A “frozen” look usually is a result of overdosage. An experienced injector would know how many units to inject to get the desired effect but also look natural. (This is why we DO NOT recommend going to a Botox part in someone’s home. Always go to a reputable med spa or provider.)

Myth #2. If you stop doing Botox, the wrinkles will get worse.

FACT: If you decide to stop using Botox, the wrinkles will gradually return with repeat movements. Botox will not worsen them.

Myth #3. Botox and Fillers are the same thing.

FACT: Botox and dermal fillers are totally different substances but can be used together (or separately) to treat age-related problems.

Myth #4. Once you start getting Botox, you can’t stop.

FACT: There are no addictive properties to Botox. People keep doing it because it makes them look younger and fresher (and therefore feel good).

Myth #5. Botox is very expensive and only the wealthy can afford it.

FACT: Botox is actually very affordable and we even offer a membership program called the Botox Club where you can make small monthly payments to pay for your Botox, Filler and other skincare treatments.

Schedule a 1-on-1 Consultation to get started with Botox Club! It’s time to invest in yourself!
